Electrical problem
2002 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my turn signals work when ever they want to. The bulbs are fine. What type of fuse or breaker is needed, approximatly where is it located and what are the odds that replacing that, will fix the problem. Ive read and heard of the same problem and it seems that changing this fuse/relay, will fix it?
thanks, Ed

If this has a hazard flasher in the center of the dash then that is the flasher. Replace it. Use a pick and it pops right out

If the turn signals are just working sporadically, go to the fuse box on the drivers side (you'll have to open the door to see the panel) pull the panel off and replace the fuse. There is a set of plastic pliers/tweezers (mine are white) that gets the fuse out and there should be spare fuse on the panel cover. If the problem is with the noise running when the turn signal isn't in use, changing the fuse will not fix the problem.
