My car wont do anything when I turn the key. I give it a jump it starts, but when you turn it off it wont start. I took it to AutoZone they said it was the battery so I got a new one but still the same problem. Please what could it be? I know it is something simple and I cant figure it out. Thank you, Susan

Check fuse G and V in the PDC if both okay -check the starter relay in the PDC left side of engine compartment. If okay, do this: cross the light green and red wire at the starter motor and see what happens. Then let me know.

Hi,

I have to be honest, the most common cause of what you described is dirty, loose, or damaged battery terminals. What I have seen happen is this. The car will not start. You place jumper cables on the terminals which tightens the terminal and then it starts. Once you disconnect the terminals, the car stalls because it loses connection.

Lets start simple with this one. First, I realize you have a new battery, but follow this link to see if you find anything and if it helps.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,
