Recently one of the cables broke on the drivers side sliding door. I cut the excess cable off that was hanging outside the van.
Neither door will open manually. With the door switch turned off on the dash, using the open manual option, neither sliding door will open more than 1/2 an inch. When the power is on the passanger door works fine. The drivers side gears will work when I pull the handle but will not open because the cable is broken. I need to be able to open these doors manually but can't figure out why they wont.

Hello,

With a broken cable the doors will not work because they lose their "home" which causes the module to shut down, You will need to fix the motor and cable here are instructions below to help you do so. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

This "might" explain the door not working that has the cable broken. The other does not work either even though it's cable is not broken. Again, the issue is I can not open the sliding doors when the power is turned off on the dash. Thank you. Fred

The system will shut down when the correlation program is interrupted. Both door need to work correctly for either door to work. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we see whats going on, that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

Yep, classic protocol issue due to the broken cable. I would concentrate fixing that issues should solve the other problems. Thanks for the video done perfect, I wish all people with problems uploaded the issue. Much better than trying to explain it.
