Front door won't open from inside or outside?

Probably a failed door lock, tricky thing will be getting access to trip the lock, you will have to remove the internal trim to try and trigger the lock.

Yep, one of the control cables sounds like it has fallen off. Here is how to get the door panel off so you can use a flashlight to find the problem. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
