Engine is Overheating?

My engine is overheating, can you please tell me why?

Hi,

If the engine is overheating, it could be the result of a few different things. For example, it could be a faulty coolant thermostat, the coolant could be low, the cooling fans are not working, or even a faulty head gasket.

I have some questions to try and narrow things down. First, did you check to make sure the engine coolant is full? If so, how long does it take to overheat? Next, does it overheat at highway speeds or only in stop and go traffic? Also, have you checked for leaks and have you noticed any white smoke from the exhaust? Do you notice if the radiator cooling fans are running?
