1989 olds 98 regency 3.8 automatic, when attempting to start the vehicle for the first time each day the car acts like it wants to start but will not. It takes about 10 minutes of intermittent cranking before it will start. Once the vehicle starts and has been driven it will start like it should as long as it does not sit for more than 2-4 hours. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate your help.

Hi:It sounds like a fuel pressure problem. First thing in the morning, check fuel pressure. Many parts stores will rent or lend the gauge. Here is a "How To" video. Take a look and then do it.

Let me know what you find.
