My 90 nissan p/u died one day and wouldnt start. When I came back to it an hour later it still didnt start until I floored the pedal and then blew a big cloud of white smoke and smelt of gas. I changed the engine temp. Sensor ang it'll start right up but blews white smoke and stinks bad of gas. I just changed the TPS and that didnt help either. The truck seems to run great other than the bad gas smell.

thanks in advance

First ill have to ask whens the last time you change the fuel filter. And secondly have you noticed a low transmission fluid level or a low antifreeze/coolant level?

I have replaced the fuel filter first cause I thought that was the problem. I havent crawled under it to check the fluid on the tranny being that its a manual and is shifting fine. The oil & antifreeze level is fine I checked it over good cause I thought I might have blown the head gasket.

Sometimes excessive water in the gas can cause a very gasy smell and excessive white smoke.
