Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Nissan Sentra 4 cyl Automatic 130000 miles

I have a 98 Sentra GXE that all of a sudden decided not to start. There's plenty of gas, the fuel system appears to be working properly. The starter works. But apparently there's no spark going to the plugs. Any suggestions as to what's wrong and more importantly how to fix it as inexpensively as possible?

No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.

It sounds like you have a crankshaft angle sensor that is going out here is a guide and some diagrams (Below) that will help you get the problem fixed.

This guide gives you an idea of what you are in for when changing the sensor
