I had a similar problem and my starter died (worn). If you can find the starter, then hit it with a hammer a few times to shake it lose a bit. You need those electical windings to move a little. Then your car will start right up.
It will cost around $650 to replace it if you go to a dealership. That is like $150-$200 for the part and the rest is labor.
If you've never had the starter replaced then I bet this is your problem.
