A rattle like noise

04 Maxima SL 3.5 35,000 miles.
I've noticed that when I accelerate and the rpm needle is between 2 and 3000 it makes a funny rattle noise. Any idea what that could be?

Could be a spark knock also called detonation-problem areas: Inop. EGR, Low octane fuel, Too Advance, Overheating, Knock sensor.

Thanx for the reply. If its due to low octane can it be solved by using a higher octane gas? Or do I have to get something done.

You could try higher octane, don't work-check the other areas that I've mentioned.
