Is there a way to force the window closed when the motor has failed? The inside door panel is off and I have access to the motor, etc. I would like to get the window closed so I can drive it until I can get it to the shop.

Yes but you will have to cut the cable that runs inside of the regulator because the motor will not let the window go up or down or because the cable in the regulator is mangled be prepared with self tapping screws to the regulator up and down sliding part UNDER the window to regulator mount and dont screw it into the glass
