First Off I work on cars fairly often and am trying to learn as much as possible. The car wants to turn over but just won't. The check engine light and the oil light comes on. I checked the oil and it is fine. I really want to find out the trouble code but I have no way to get it to Autozone to do so. My dad thinks that it might be the fuel pump but I have no way of checking. I have the Chiltons book so if you have any ideas on what it might be I can check the book for a possible solution.

Try starting fluid sprayed int he throttle body. Does it start right up and run or does it start up and die or not start at all. Post back your results.

If you use starting fluid or gas in the tb or a gas soaked rag, it should fire right up, for that reason check the ignition timing and spark from each plug, they should be bright and blue.
