I'm confused one wire doesn't respond like all the others because it's grounded by the PCM. So why are three working and ones not? You don't think the PCM is bad?

It is possible or the wire from the coil to the PCM is shorted to ground.

I'm not a an electrical person I do find it odd none of those will blink even with the engine running and number one I know is firing. So replacing the PCM is not going to fix the problem the wiring is messed up? Is that correct on Roy?

Correct. You need to check the wire from the coil to the PCM first. If the wire is good then it is the PCM.

How in God's name would you find that single wire in all that big wad of wires? There's two connectors going to that PCM that are full of wires. Wouldn't be easier to test the PCM? And why would it not throw a code? Maybe because it's shot and can't determine codes anymore? Anyway you've been great thanks. I mean that. Thank you and if you think of anything else please let me know. JC
