My dodge caliber jerks when accelerating and, almost like its a miss are something. But it does it on it's own. What would cause this to happen? How can I fix it?

Hello,

It sounds like you need a set of spark plugs and a tune up, Here are a couple of guides that will help you fix the problem.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-tune-up-a-car-engine

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-change-spark-plugs

If the problem continues try a new MAF sensor because when these sensors get off a little due too coking they wont set a code just deliverer a false reading to the PCM

Please let us know what happens so it will help others.

Cheers, Ken
