Hello,
Your vehicle is fitted with the Bosch CP4 high pressure fuel pump which is common for internal failure. If you have metal shavings in the fuel pressure regulator you will have to start at the high-pressure pump, source of shavings, move on to the injectors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure sensor, fuel rail, fuel filter housing and filter, fuel lines. The fuel tank will need to be removed and flushed, in tank fuel pump replaced.
Unfortunately, the metal shavings are circulated right throughout the fuel system and can be deposited virtually anywhere.
The complete system will need to be replaced for the shop doing the work for you to warrant the repair.
