I turned off my engine and it sounded like the engine was still running. There was a smell, not like burning, almost like over-heating. Roughly 2 minutes later it sounded like something stuck in the fan and it suddenly stopped. I have been having a squealing noise periodically for quite awhile. Can't get it to restart. Any ideas?

HI there,

Is the engine cranking over? What you have described is the engine running on, this is where the engine self detonates the fuel, (like a diesel) this is a serious problem and can cause a major engine failure if let go, that is why I am interested to know if the engine will still turn over.

OK, this is sounding serious, try removing the spark plugs and turning the engine over by cranking and by hand, let me know how you get on.
