This is exactly what is happening on my '99 Wrangler. I was changing a heater core hose, bumped and snapped a vacuum line and now after repairing the vacuum line, my air flow is completely diminished. It was perfectly fine before I broke the vacuum line. I don't know if it matters, but I drove with the line broken for 2 days before I was able to do the simple fix. Vacuum is back. I have a few dash covers off and I followed all six colored air lines to see the mechanisms working. I can hear and see the blower running when the recirculation door is open. What gives? Are the vacuum mechanisms not directely connected, but maybe just resting on levers? Even so, if they are, why would they not work now? It seems like one kink somewhere in the system is holding up everything. Did anyone ever figure out a resolution to this?

It was the blower motor. We replaced it with a used one from a junk yard. But it's doing it again so we have to replace it again.
We have to tap on the underside of it to get it to run. So this time it will be a new one.
Hope this helps

Racefan966,

You really put a lot of effort in that one!

Seems there are only a few who are that dedicated to keep on going, to "Get it Fixed" instead of the Quick, "Here's a bunch of complicated lingo, that only a mechanic would understand or could only perform"

I do read your posts from time to time, am now marking this one, so I might find it later. Xwranglerhvac

I salute you for your persistence!
