Do you have the rail coil, 4 wire primary connector? One is B+, with the engine cranking, the other 3 are grounds, one ground for each coil, one coil fires two plugs. If you do alot of cranking, you might disable the injectors, or the fuel system, so the cylinders don't fill with gas.
At some point you may need to check for injector pulse, the injector doesn't need to be plugged in for that. If you have no spark and no injector pulse, it may be a sensor problem.
