My 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo wouldn't start one morning. Had been running fine. I found that I had no spark at the coil and replaced the crankshaft sensor and then the coil. I still have no spark! The other strange thing I noticed is that if I turn the ignition key backwards the fuel pump runs constantly. I'm probably going to have it towed to the dealer but wanted to see if there is anything else I should try. I believe I have a PCM problem. Can the PCM be diagnosed at the dealership if I take it out and deliver it to them or do I need to tow the vehicle to the garage? Is there anything else I can try? This is probably going to be an expensive repair.

Had it towed to the garage. Turns out that the O2 sensor cable had been rubbing the drive shaft and in turn created a short that pulled the voltages down from the pcm. Just thought I'd post this message in caseothers are having a similar problem. I never would have found it without the help of the Jeep garage. They ran diagnostics to determine where to look. Hope this is helpful to others who may be having similar problems!
