Death Wobble

My 1993 Grand Cheroke has a violent shake when I go over small bumps above 35 mph, usually at freeway speeds. The only solution is to immediately slow down, bad in heavy traffic. I've had the front end rebuilt, tires (BFG AT's) dynamically balanced. I am guessing wheel bearings or Steering dampner. Am I missing something? Also where could I find information and diagrams on replacing the wheel bearings? Dampner should be easy to replace.

You had the front end rebuilt?
I'm assuming the shop checked everything including the alingment and stabilizer links.
If they did see if the tires have a band snapped.
Was it in an accident?

After spending almost $700, I looked for commonalities if the front end shaking. The only 2 solutions were wheel bearings and steering dampner. I chose steering dampner due to ease of replacement. It corrected the problem. I was disappointed that the expert didn't pick it up.
