Cigarette Lighter not Working

2002 Infiniti G20 2.0L with 96000 miles. I was using an air compressor plugged in the cigarette lighter. Then the cigarette lighter stopped working. Checked fuse box under console of driver's side, no blown fuse at cigarette lighter slot. I also put a brand new fuse with same rating in for testing. The cigarette lighter still does not work. Checked all fusible link in the engine compartment. Everthing looks okay. When I tested the cigarette lighter, I used a muti-meter. Cannot detect any voltage to cigarette lighter plug. Please advice.

The connector behind the Cig lighter probably melted and created an open circuit
