Ignition wiring

All wiring is original but has a sbc 350 in it an it jumped timing which we fixed but will not start unless there is a wire ran directly from the distributor to the positive battery post (a friend did that ). And it runs hot all time lile that an melted the negative side of battery post. All I need to find the ignition wiring for original Jaguar so I can run it back to the ignition correctly.
