White smoke out of tail pipe?

Hi guys, I have 91 CRX and the question I have is, When the car is at idle I have no white smoke out of the tail pipe but when I throttle the car here comes the smoke then when I let it idle again no smoke. I asked a friend and he said that the smoke smelled like gas? Could the car be running rich? If so how do I fix it. I was wondering if anyone has this problem or know of this problem and what can I do to stop this. Thanks

Fuel usually isnt white. Does it use coolant or oil?

White smoke does not smelled like gas.

White smoke usually means coolant has leaked into the oil. A sweet smell will usually indicate this. However, I have heard failing fuel injectors can cause this. Easiest thing to do is an oil change and check the oil for contents. It will either smell like fuel or have a brown tint to it and be kind of foamy and a sweet smell. Let us know!
