1999 Honda Civic REPLACING ENGINE

My 99 Civic DX needs a "new" engine. Could a remanufactured/rebuilt EX engine be used instead of the DX?

Yes it could, the only difference is that you would have v-tec, so you would need a new computer, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, exhaust work, and a few harness connectors from the v-tec harness.

It can fit, but it will be extra work.
