Sometimes when I start my car it starts but hten acts like it is going to die. We have replaced the plug wires and the fuel pump. Does anyone have any ideas?

Check the EGR valve and check the PCV valve. What is the idle speed that it wants to die at?

Where are those valves located at? It seems to act this way right after you crank it and take your hand off the key. It is like it cranks at a high idle and then idles really low and then acts normal.

You say you replaced the fuel pump and the filter? The EGR valve should be behind the valve cover on the left. The PCV valve is located off of the valve cover. Test the PCV by pinching it closed with your fingers the hose coming off of it. There should be a clicking sound as it is pinched. If no sound check for leaks or replace it.
