Dash lights not working

All dash lights are not working so I set out to check the fuses. Would you believe that the interior and exterior fuse identification charts in the owners manual do not have a listing under "dash lights" "gauges" "instruments" etc? It can't be this complex but I'd sure like to know which fuses protect the dash lights.
Any ideas?

I have had several warning light issues and then more recently (last few Days) the speedo and gear lights been playing up too.

1/ Had ABS brakes fixed but warning light still on.
2/ SRS light stays on although had that checked at same time as ABS fixed and light still on.
3/ Was driving the other day I had the cruise on and it suddenly turned off causeing the car to slow and the speedo needle dropped to 0 then when I hit the acceelerator the needle moved back to current speed.
4/The 4th gear light starts flashing on and off. It starts flashing speratically untill I turn engine off and restart.
5/ Now the speedo does not start working until I have been driving for 5-10 mins then it just starts working and stays on most of the time but then goes to 0 for short periods.

Hi DMConlon,

You need to retrieve the ABS and Air Bag Diagnostic Trouble code to find out what is wrong. Like wise with the D4 light DTC as well.

However the Speedometer not working should be ths cause of the D4 light blinking. The speed sensor, located under the thermostst housing on tran housing is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Bridge the connector, turn ignition switch ON, and count the flashes of the various indicator lights fo rthe code. prolonged flashes = 10 while short fast flash = 1.

You have a dead short. Start by unplugging the headlight switch and see if the fuse still blows.

Let me know what you find.

Did you check for voltage at the fuse circuit? Use a testlite. When you backlamps are you talking the tail lites?

Check fuse 32--15 for voltage. Note the diagram. At the tail lamps, red wire with black tracer is voltage. Black wire is ground.

I looked at your instrument cluster illumination and it is the same fuse, so check for voltage at the fuse circuit. If there is voltage sounds like a wiring circuit problem.

I have no tail lights or dash lights. I have checked all fuses multiple times, changed out the bulbs and plugged in a new multi switch on the collumn. When I pull the "lighting" relay the headlights dont work, and that was expected. Would this cause the other llights to fail while the headlights are still opperative? I dont know what else to check, any ideas?

I believe the multiplex were known to fail and cause the symptoms you mentioned. Check with the dealer's parts (experienced)person they should have an idea how often they were changed for your vehicle and what the problems were.

A test lite doesn't cost much at the local auto store. If you can't do a little testing, I'm not sure how to help?
