On going problem.I mknoiw it has milage butn have kept up with tune-ups, etc. Eng cranks over but will not start. Items replaced. Dist cap, (recleaned, rechecked) Plug wires, ignition coil, plugs(rechecked gap.060) temp sensor on left side of block, fuel filter, air filter. Oil changed
Fuel pressure checked at 60 psig. And can here the fuel pump engage when key is turned. Checked battery charge and connections. Plugs spark. Though wet with gas.( Flooding), cleand MAP and intake temp sensor. I get NO CODES?
added drygas to fuel tank.

the only code I have EVER read was PO300 radom misfire.
There is no water in the oil and no water in the cyl.
the only oddity I notice it that when I turn the ign.
key to OFF after a few revolutions of a no start. The eng jumps. Like it got a spark to start?

WHAT else could keep from running

Are you getting ignition spark if so could be flooding out due to a leaky injector/s or pressure regulator, also could be out of timing

AFTER much $$$$ . The problem with the starting nissue was a bad dist rotor. 3rd time replaced in as many yrs. Also gos for the dist cap.

The rotor mount screws are very close to the tag the allow electrical energy to get to the cap. The electricity will arc to the rotor and to grd.

BAD DESIGN, you could SEE the carbon tracking.

So to all. Before you all spend LOTS $$ for bad diagnostics, spent the first $40 or so on a cap and rotor. If you get the symptons I had.
