2002 GMC C2500 won't start

This is the duramax diesel truck and I ran out of diesel last night. The truck will not start. I put in 4-5 gallons of diesel already. I need to prime it somehow to get the fuel injected I believe but have no idea how.

Try this,Pump Primer located on top of the fuel filter 30 times or until stiff.
Attempt to start and run the engine. If the engine does not start, repeat step 1.
Allow to run for 5 minutes at idle.
Check for fuel leaks.
Clear all engine diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
