I can not start the truck in wet conditions. Does this model year have a distributor cap? What do I need to check or replace to correct this problem?

The distributor should be located on top of the engine at the back.

When the problem occurs, you might look inside the dist. Cap, see if there is any moisture? If there is, wipe out the cap, you could spray some wd40 in the cap, let it dry. Try to take the cap off without removing the wires, if you have to remove the plug wires, mark the plug wire and cap tower, some you can get it back in the same place.

You could use dielectric grease on the plug and coil boots, on both ends.

Take the primary connectors loose from the coil and coil driver module, make sure they're dry, plug back in, use rtv sealer around out side of connector.

I had the same problem. 2 chevy dealers and $500 later still had the same problem. I bought a can of wire dry from autozone. Then sprayed every visible wire and connector. It has been 2 yrs and has not acted up since
