My vehicle listed above randomly doesn’t start. It doesn’t do it all the time. It seems when the weather is warmer and I run multiple errands and start and stop it multiple times it won’t start. The engine turns over but it doesn’t start. When I let it sit about thirty minutes then it will start again. I was told it could be the fuel relay switch or fuel pump fuse but probably not the fuel pump. My mechanic is having a hard time locating the fuel relay. Where is it located? Any ideas what else it could be? It runs great otherwise.

Good evening.

There is no fuel pump relay. There is a module called the totaly integrate power module or fuse box that controls the operation of the fuel pump.

Can you hear the pump run when you turn on the key when it will not start?

I attached a wiring diagram for you to view. If your mechanic does not know this, you need to get your car to someone who knows this system.

Yes, it can also be a failed fuel pump as well.

ESCRIPTION

This vehicle is not equipped with a fuel pump relay. The fuel pump control is done through the TIPM. The TIPM receives an input signal from the PCM. Once the TIPM receives the signal, it will output a 12 volt supply to the fuel pump module turning the pump on.
