Hey bonzai,
Sounds like some serious suspension issues there! Bouncing usually indicates strut/shock failure, and will also cause a clunk/thud, though there may be other front end issues causing the noises. Ball joints, strut mounts, sway bar bushings and end links.
Regards,
Chris

Ha yeah I know what you are talking about I had a little crappy nissian manly for just playing around and trashing and it had no springs I could hit the brakes and let off and let the car look like it had front hydrolics you might wont to get it fixed though I ran over a really big rut and bounced so much it bottomed out and radiator replaced itself right into the fan I didnt feel like fixing it or spending the money so I sold it to a salvage yard for $200
