Ok in the last 2 days my car has died both times I have parked it and went in to a store. When I come out it won't turn over. The 1st time I had some one jump me and it worked last night how ever it didn't. Last week it started makeing noise but only when in park or idal, so I replaced the alternator, this did little to help the noise, but now my car won't start at all, the lights come on and the reido, but what whould I try now?

Is the starter turning the engine over? Or is nothing happening when you turn the key to start position. No noticeable noises at all? You may want to remove and clean the battery posts? How old is the battery? Try starting car in neutral instead of park.

My car is only makeing a clicking noise, nothing like a car cranking up. Just one clkick and then everything inside comes on, like the raido, and the head lights. Does that help? Ok i'll let you know waht happens when I try to start it in nu. After I clean my batt posts.

When you turn key to start, you hear a click under the hood? If you let go of key (dont turn it backwards) and then turn to start again, you hear the click again? If so, sounds like your starter is either bad or the connections are loose/corroded. The click you hear is the starter selinoid located on top of inner fender on drivers side.
