My Radiator busted on my 1999 Ford Taurus while I was driing on the highway to Connecticut. What would have been the reason for the radiator to bust?, and How much would it cost to get it fixed? Please reply with an approximate quote.

Plastic radiators are prone to break however it might have been caused by a faulty cap or just plain fatigue. They really can't be fixed.

It is about a $300.00 job if some else does it. make sure you replace the hoses, thermostat and radiator cap. Good luck
