Fuel inertia cutoff switch?

1993 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive manual

the truck stalled while driving. The fuel switch was reset; when the button was pushed it did not come up does that mean it is stuck or that it neds the pressure to rebuild? Or is there some thing else we should be looking at. There was no noises when the truck stalled. Truck will not turn over now.

When you turn key to run-do you hear the fuel pump come on, If not check fuse no.18 20amp in the power distribution box and test the fuel pump relay and PCM power relay and aslo test the inertia switch.

If you hear the fuel pump come On check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump if its within specs, check that the injectos are pulsing.

BTW way do you have spark?

Would it have a reset switch on it. To reset the fuel pump to gas to crank.
