Safety belt alarm sytem

I have a 2001 ford ranger and the safety belt alarm sounds even with the belt fastened and I dont have a owners manual so I was wondering if you could instruct me on how to tun it off.

Disconnet the wire going to the seat belt retractor. Sometimes there is a connector under the seat. Check it out ands let me know.
