I have a 92 Frod Ranger, 215,000 miles on it and today i noticed that the rear U-Joint was making noise, so I went to get a new one and after getting home, I can not get the drive shaft to fall. I have removed the bolts in the rear of the shaft, but it still has not dropped. Any suggestions?

Pit a large pry bar (big screwdriver) between the yoke and the drive shaft. It should fall. No harm because of the flex built in the joint at the tranny end.
