1997 Ford Probe crank sensor

For the past two years every 3 to 6 months i have to replace the crank sensor on my probe. She runs like a dream and i have it had it for years. Can anybody give me an idea what would possible make this car keep doing this.

Hi mallie39159 and TY for the donation Could be excessive play on the thrust bearing on the crankshaft/vibration damper or there's a problem with the pulse wheel
