1998 Ford Fairmont wont start

hey guys ive replaced battery then went to start i got ignition lights but nothing happens i noticed on the bottom left hand side of dash(while turning key ) a brake symbol with an exclaimationmark in it appears hope you can help regards Rick

check to see if you are getting power to the starter, if not you may have burnt a fusible link wire. they are available at auto part stores and are either on the starter or starter solenoid
