Bought this car 4 days ago. Runs well. Has central locking and engine immobiliser? Bought privately. Car won't start now after having stereo pumping for 20 min. Thought flat battery, but that is not the case. All accessories come up. engine won't turn over. zero click there. Person who sold the car to me, didn't have a manual for the car. Car registered till august next year. I don't understand why it wont' start, and if anyone has any advise I would be really pleased to hear it! Thanks. And I am sorry about my spelling mistakes.

Hi there,

This may sound really stupid but just as a start- is the car in park? I did this the first time i bought my car- I called RAC out and everything.

Assuming you arnt as silly as i was, it may be your ignition barrel, this happened to me a little while ago. If it is this it will cost you a couple of hundred dollars to get done at a shop, or if you or you know someone thats good with cars you can usually pick up the part for around $50 secondhand. Im not sure how to check this though sorry, when mine when the key was really loose, it didnt feel tight and click over like it should.

cheers,

Hannah
