I have a 1996 Ford F350 Crew 4x4 with a 7.5 gas engine. I want to remove the CAT and replace it with a pipe. There is an O2 sensor in front of the CAT which I will not touch and another in the rear of the CAT. Should I drill and tap a place for this in the replacement pipe or just leave it out? Will my truck run ok with it or what do I need to do in order to make it right.

The cat and the o2 sensors work in unison. I strongly don't recommend replacing the cat with a pipe, not to mention it is against fedreral law. I would expect the pcm to make false adjustment to the fuel/air mix when it sees no change in the gases from the front o2 to the back o2.
