1996 Ford F150 172,000 is leaking antifreeze from rear of engine--have been told that it is a bad freeze plug--how do I replace this part without taking it to a mechanic?

thanks

You can most likely knock it out with a screwdriver and a mallet, and tap a new one in with a mallet, that is if it's easily accessible, some require that various parts and pieces be removed or at least removed to the side.

For a 1994 F 150 6 cyl pick up w/ 100,000 mi--
if the radiator has ben repaired by a mechanic should this go bad after about 2 months? Anit freeze is leaking & logic to me says if the radiator was repaired properly this wouldn't happen. I don't have $$ to throw away!

Thank you!
