Use a slide hammer or chisel

That's what you need to remove the freeze plugs and a long thick screwdriver to pry it my job is to help people in need like you and not to mislead them free or not-Good Luck

Maybe I misled you on the question. What has to be removed to get to the freeze plugs. Hope thats clearer.
