The problem started a few weeks ago. I was driving my truck and it shut off on me. So I put it in park and cranked it and it started back up. Got to my destination turned it off, tried to crank it and it would turn over but not fire up. Someone told me if I cycle the key over it would reset the fuel pump so I tried that and it cranked. It then ran fine for the next week or so until I filled the tank up, then it would crank and not start. I messed with the fuel filter a little bit and got it cranked, I then thought it might been a clogged filter so I changed it. It ran fine for a few days and now its starting to have problems again. Any insight to what might be causing this?

Thanks, Mike

Hello Again Mike!

Nice to read you again!

Well, looks like the pump its not working right.
But the problem could be related to 3 things.

Fuel Pump Relay
Fuel Pump assembly (And or the filter on the pump)
Fuel pressure regulator
And even the ignition switch!

I would recommend you to start checking the pump relay if good then the pump pressure (that should tell us if the pump and the regulator are good)

those intermittent problems are the more difficult to diagnose!

Start checking that and let us know to continue with the troubleshooting

I saw that you donate again! Thanks a Lot Mike!

Hello !

The fuel pump relay its located in the battery junction box (on rear left side of engine compartment)

the correct fuel pressure should be in between 30-45 PSI.

Good luck!
