I have a 91 ford explorer sport 4.0L 85,000 mi. Can you tell me why when it gets hot it won't start up again for like 15 mins.

Sounds like vapor lock

Check you starter. Autozone can test it while still in the truck. Altho vapor lock exists, it's pretty rare these days!
