1999 Ford Explorer 2d
doors will lock but not unlock with the Key. Power locks and unlock works with button inside. If both doors are locked, we have to unlock tailgate and push button to unlock doors.
What is wrong?

It sounds like you have a linkage problem. You will need to pull the interior door panel off and inspect the linkage.
If you need graphics, both the Chilton and Haynes books have some good graphics on the door locks.
The electrical might be the switch, ( I have had switch problems) but I would inspect the lock linkage before I spend big bucks from the dealer for a new switch.
