I have a 2003 Ford Explorer 104,000 miles. My ABS light came on and then went off then came on then went off. The light did this about 3 or 4 times. Now it just stays on. When I brake it vibrates alot. We changed the front brake pads and checked the back they are great. Im assumeing that it is my ABS sensor I was wondering how can I tell if its the wheel sensors or the ABS sensor itself? And is there any way to tell wich sensor is bad other than a computer wich I dont have :D Thanks for your Help! :D

Seeing as how the codes for anti-locks are in the 1100-1200's you really need to get the codes read! You can spend a forune on parts unless you know what to test, My own ABS light came on, and I had to get the codes read, they showed RR sensor was bad, I tested the wires with an ohm meter and found a short at the passenger side compartment, where the wires go thru the firewall. If you have an ohm meter, test the sensors by using OHM's at lowest setting, meter should read between 800-1400 ohms.
