1998 Ford Explorer V6 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 70000 miles

Please tell me where the hood light is located
in the engine compartment of my 1998 ford explorer sport trac,4wd,4.0 l,v-6 SOHC.

I do not think that there is one but the book shows a light switch on the top edge of the right hand fender just inside where the hood closes to turn off thr light and turn on the light when the hood is opened.

Those are usually mercury switches that lose contact when they go horizontal, cant remember ever seeing a pin style switch on a newer car
