Sounds and feels like a flat tire. Can also have a sound like baseball card in bicycle spokes. Happens on cold mornings, starting to move. Doesn't happen all the time and does stop after going about a 1/8 of a mile and also stops when I apply the brakes. What could be causing this noise.

First I would check to make sure there are no shifted belts on the tire. Also, Many time the rubber on the tire is stiff when it is cold and can cause that type of noise until it warms up.

As far a the baseball card in spokes sound, can you tell me aprox what area it is coming from? Does it go away too? Does it change with the speed of the car?

Let me know.

Joe
