They make a special tool for removal. Many nationally recognized parts stores will lend or rent them. If you want the truth, I find the rental tools cheap and not that great. What I do is take a large cresent wrench or open end, put it on the nut, and smack it with a dead blow hammar. It usually takes a good 3 or 4 hits, but it breaks them loose. Make sure to leave the serp belt on to help hold the pully still and I usually wedge something behind the pulley to further hold it in place.
