Make sure he didn't damage the vacuum line to the brake booster (behind the master cylender) or disconnect it. Let me know what you find or if you have other questions, let me know.

Do you have a check engine light?

Could be caused by one of the following below

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it

Wow! An air wrench wouldn't take it out. That isn't good. The only thing you can try is using a breaker bar with as much leverage you can to loosten them. However, my convern is that it breaks in the head. That would require the head to be removed for repair. Regardless, there really isn't anything other that you can do. Make sure that you spray a good penetrating oil on it to see if that helps.

Let me know if you have other questions.
